MCP-Ready Playbooks & Agent Integration

Turn your SOPs into safe, AI-aware workflows

Many teams don’t need “more AI.” They need a way for AI to respect their existing processes, not work around them.

This service helps you take the playbooks, SOPs, and workflows you already have and make them usable by AI agents through MCP (Modular Component Protocol), using Makebooks.ai and Aspenify as the backbone.

We start small, with one or two high-value workflows, and build from there.
We help you turn “this is how we do things” into MCP-ready Makebooks that AI agents can safely use.
We structure the engagement in three layers. You can stop after the first, or keep going.

Who this is for

This is a good fit if you:

  • Have documented processes (or cultural knowledge you want documented) and want AI to follow them, not ignore them

  • Are experimenting with AI agents, low-code, or automation tools, but don’t have a clear structure or guardrails

  • Support multiple teams, locations, or partners and want consistent, reusable workflows

  • Work in spaces like:

    • Operations, IT, or DevOps

    • Education or workforce development

    • Community programs, resilience, or preparedness

    • Small business / founder-led teams

You do not need to be a deep technical team. Curiosity and process ownership are enough.

  • From scattered SOPs to structured playbooks

Goal: capture one or more key workflows in a format that both humans and AI can use.

We’ll work with your team to:

    • Identify 1–3 priority workflows where AI support would measurably help

      • Onboarding, support, reporting, compliance, continuity, etc.

    • Gather what you already have:

      • SOP docs, checklists, slide decks, tribal knowledge

    • Design Makebooks that describe:

      • Clear steps and decision points

      • Roles and responsibilities

      • Inputs, outputs, and handoffs

All of this lives in Makebooks on top of Aspenify, so you’re not just creating more static documentation. You’re building living playbooks you can update over time.

    Deliverables:

    • 1–3 documented Makebooks in your Makebooks workspace

    • A simple workflow map for each (visual + plain-language description)

    • A short summary you can share with your team:
“Here’s how this workflow will be supported by AI in the future.”

  • From playbooks to AI-ready tools

Goal: define how an AI agent is allowed to interact with your Makebooks.

Here we translate your Makebooks into a set of tools an AI agent can call through MCP.

    Together, we’ll:

    • Define tool-level actions, for example:

      • create_onboarding_checklist_from_makebook

      • run_branch_audit_for_location

      • log_incident_and_start_continuity_playbook

    • Specify:

      • What inputs each tool needs

      • What it returns

      • When it should hand back to a human

    • Design an MCP tool catalog:

      • Clear names and descriptions

      • Grouped by use case (e.g., onboarding, compliance, support)

If you already use an automation platform (like n8n or similar), we’ll align with that. If not, we help you choose a simple starting point.

    Deliverables:

    • A tool specification pack (plain-language + technical format) for your initial set of MCP tools

    • Recommended integration pattern:

    • Example agent instructions that show how a model will call your tools

  • From single workflow to shared ecosystem

Goal: make your MCP + Makebooks setup work across multiple teams or programs, without losing control.

    This is useful if you:

    • Run accelerator programs, learning cohorts, or internal academies

    • Support volunteers, caregivers, or resilience teams

    • Need consistency across branches, regions, or partner organizations

    We’ll work with you to:

    • Define governance:

      • Who can create and edit Makebooks

      • How changes get approved

      • How updates roll out to others

    • Map who gets access to what:

      • Different roles, locations, cohorts, or partner organizations

    • Create or adapt shared Makebooks for:

      • Onboarding participants

      • Running standard workshops or trainings

      • Preparedness / continuity / response patterns

    Deliverables:

    • A governance and sharing model for your Makebooks and tools

    • A starting library of shared Makebooks ready to connect to MCP

    • A rollout plan so you can expand at your own pace
